Digital Twins
NUS Campus Digital Twin
I worked on the UX and UI design for a digital twin for NUS' Campus Management team.
I was brought in halfway to turn around the the project, and was successful in doing so. The project was officially launched in Sep 2024
NUS CAmpus DIGITAL TWIN
Designing for 2D, 3D, and Data
To make the software intuitive and easy-to-use for operational teams, I revamped 8 key modules, and introduced the concept of universal search and multi-directional navigation between 2D UI and 3D model.
I worked closely with NUS to translate use cases into design, and with Surbana Jurong to direct their data team and incoporate system limits.

BIM Inspector
For engineers, we built functionality to expose buildings in 3D view, and to inspect various on-screen elements. I was responsible for dissecting the complexity of the task, and planning how all 2D/3D elements would appear and interact.
You can view a prototype of the viewer here.

CCTV Virtual Patrol
This is a feature that allows Campus Security to remotely conduct patrols by viewing a list of cameras on a set route.
I designed and prototyped this, then conducted usability testing on this with internal users. Though testers found the UI extremely easy to understand (average SUS 6.7/7), I realised we needed an in-map visualisation to establish a connection between the 2D UI panel and the 3D map.
You can interact with the prototype here.

Using VR to speed up workflows
I also designed a Command Centre version of the software. Given that the actual screen was 9.0m x 2.36m, we faced working with the scale.
To solve this, I recreated the site in VR, and projected my designs into life-size scale. Because of this, all stakeholders (NUS and Surbana Jurong) were able to quickly align on the design, speeding up this part of the project by 2400%.
Bahrain Country-level Digital Twin
Another project I worked on was a POC Digital Twin for Baharin, a country in the Middle east. The POC was designed to be a demo of how digital twin technologies could be used operationally in Bahrain.
I led the conceptualisation and UX/UI design of 10 data visualisation modules across 7 subject areas, and at LOD 1, 2, 3, and 4 levels.
The client's first response to the designs: 'Wow. Sexy!'.
This twin was delivered to the Prince in Bahrain and is currently used in discussions to digitalise Bahrain's governance.
Singapore Digital Twin viewer
This was an internal project to demostrate how Vizzio's core technology of building 3D maps could be used across a variety of sectors like transport and urban planning.
The final product was displayed at GITEX Global 2023, a international trade show held in UAE.
